This acquisition establishes Ecowaste’s operational hub for Columbia County, Florida, where the company begins service October 1 as the county’s commercial and residential waste collection provider. The Columbia contract adds more than 22,000 homes and 500 businesses to the Ecowaste portfolio.

Wilson’s Containers has been locally owned and operated by lifelong residents of Columbia County for more than 40 years, delivering temporary containers for construction, renovation and cleanup projects across Lake City, Fort White, Branford, White Springs, Jasper, Macclenny, Glen St. Mary and Lake Butler. That kind of reach across North Florida, built one delivery at a time, is exactly what Ecowaste wanted standing behind its new Columbia County partnership.

The entire Wilson’s Containers team is staying on with Ecowaste, keeping the same group behind the Columbia County hub. Building on the roots already planted here is central to how Ecowaste is approaching this market.

The Lake City facility is the anchor of that approach. It becomes the dispatch point for Ecowaste’s daily Columbia County routes, the staging ground for equipment, and the local, physical presence that backs up the company’s new municipal partnership. Rather than build that infrastructure from scratch, Ecowaste is putting its Columbia County operation on a foundation that already works.
